Care and Maintenance
It is important to maintain and care for your windows and doors. Proper maintenance is not just good for your windows and doors, its pays for itself many times over.
- Moving Parts- Keep moving parts- hinges, locks, handles etc. clean and free of grit, dirt or mortar. Clean regularly and carry out routine maintenance twice a year. Apply an acid free oil, or a silicone lubricant to all moving parts at least once a year.
- Cleaning- Clean Upvc parts using water and mild household detergent annually. Wipe off any glass cleaning products which gets on the upvc or on the gaskets. Keep drainage channels free and clear from debris and insects.
- Door lock cylinder- If your lock cylinder is a key-entry both side type. Please note the following- Do not leave key in the cylinder, as entry of second key on the opposite side will break the cylinder.
- Your double/triple glazed units are of the highest quality, please note that because of the high efficient value of these units, at particular times of the year condensation may form on the outside pane of glass. This is normal and in such cases, condensation is an atmospheric problem and will clear after a short period of time.

- Never use any type of bleach solvent or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Use clean grit free cloths or a clean grit free sponge
- Rinse the glass immediately with plenty of clean water to remove all detergents
- Use a clean, lint free cloth or squeegee to dry the glass. Alternatively, newspaper works a treat and polishes up the glass brilliantly.
