1. What are the payment terms?
   • 50% Deposit required on placing order
   • 45% Before items are installed
   • 5% Balance when work is completed.
   Payment Methods: We accept the following payment methods: cash, bank transfer & debit card.
2. What is the delivery timeframe?
   Lead Time normally is 6-12 weeks from date of deposit received and confirmation of order signed depending on the supply of products. (Subject to change)
3. Can products be supplied only?
   We can supply only or supply and fit any products, including parts for windows and doors.
4. What does your guarantee/warranty cover?

     UPVC FRAMES
     White upvc windows & doors 10 year warranty Coloured upvc windows & doors 5 years warranty

     Composite Doors
     5 years warranty - Regular washing of this product with warm mild soapy water & a soft cloth is necessary to remove any surface contaminants that could damage the paint. For stubborn dirt use a microfiber cloth to get into the grain of the door. Rinse with clean water until soap residue is removed & dry off with a lint free cloth. Chemicals, solvents and abrasives should not be used and will invalidate warranty.

     Double/Triple Glazed Units
     5 year warranty on glass units. Breakages are not covered under warranty. Not applicable to oversized units.

     Moving Parts e.g. -Hinges, Handles & locks
     1 year warranty- under normal use.

     This will not apply when handles, hinges and locking systems have been subject to stresses and operating forces beyond recommended levels.

     Maintenance on moving parts
     Hinges, locks, handles etc. - Keep moving parts clean and free of grit, dirt or mortar. Clean regularly. Apply an acid free oil, or a silicone lubricant to all moving parts bi-annually. Under no circumstances use penetrating sprays such as WD-40.

     Furniture
     Handles, Knockers, Letter Boxes- 1 year warranty on surface finish against corrosion. Clean periodically with mild soapy water, soft cloth & rinse with clean water.

     Stainless Steel
     If your door furniture is Stainless Steel, you will want these to remain in pristine order. Stainless Steel does not rust, however you should clean items periodically to remove any contaminants that could lead to ‘Tea Staining’. Use a regular house hold domestic stainless steel cleaner available in most supermarkets & follow manufacturer’s instructions for use, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Under no circumstances use steel wool to clean Stainless Steel.

     Keys
     To prevent damage to painted finish avoid leaving large bunches of keys hanging in the door. If your lock cylinder is key-entry both side do not leave the key in the cylinder, as entry of second key on the opposite side will break the cylinder.

     Hinges Cover Caps
     Hinges caps lock in the adjustment & are an integral part of the performance of the door, ensure your door hinges have all caps secured in place at the top of the hinge.

     PSA – PRIVATE SECURITY AUTHORITY
     For the protection of homeowners, the law was changed in relation to changing and fitting locks and issuing keys to homeowners. Since March 2019 all locks and keys must be fitted by an approved Locksmith & Licence Holder. Failure to comply with this compromises your home insurance.

     We at Joe Roche Glass & Glazing have met this criteria and are approved Licenced Locksmiths

      

5. Do you do any building work?
   Yes we do alterations to door and windows. We can make a window or door opening bigger or smaller.
   Knock out or building up opes to accommodate new window or door. We also do steps and concrete bases for patios, conservatories or porches, roofs and lead work.
6. Can I change the glass roof in my conservatory to a tiled roof?
   Yes, we can do this but our surveyor will need to call to see the existing conservatory to check if this is possible.
7. Can blinds be fitted back onto the new windows & doors?
   Yes, our surveyor will explain all this in detail when they call to your house.
8. Do we need to remove blinds/furniture etc. before fitting commences.
   No need to worry about removing these items as our fitters will be more than willing to do so.
9. Can a cat or dog flap be fitted to my new door?
   Yes we can fit cat flaps to suit most types of doors but please mention this to your surveyor or our office staff when placing your door order.
10. Do you replace door bells or alarms?
    If door bell is battery operated our fitters will replace this no problem. If it's electrical we prefer not to get involved as this is an electrician's work.
    As regards Alarms we also prefer not to get involved as there are dedicated companies to deal with these issues.
11. Do you remove old windows/doors off site?
    No, we do not remove old windows/doors off site but for an extra nominal charge we can arrange for the old windows/doors to be disposed.
12. Do you save old windows & doors when taking them out of my house?
    No, we never save the old windows/doors when we are taking them out. If a customer wants an old window/door to be saved, they arrange to have it saved by others.
